About Us

Welcome to B W Haulage Ltd

Established Haulage Experts Delivering Reliable Transport Solutions

With over 20 years of trading, we are an established haulage company based in Durham in the North East of England specialising in hiab hire. We operate throughout the whole of the UK.

We have an excellent reputation for providing a quality service at a competitive price and work to the very highest of standards.

We have achieved the Mission Zero Accreditation and Constructionline Accreditation which involve a yearly audit to maintain a high level of service. We have also achieved the Once For All Health and Safety SSIP which shows that we work to a high standard regarding health and safety issues. We are a member of Allmi and the RHA (Road Haulage Association). We are registered and hold a Waste Carriers Licence.

All Drivers are trained and certified to Allmi, CPCS and CSCS Standard.

At present we have five vehicles fitted with cranes available for hire. All the cranes are operated by remote control. We are ADR qualified, so all vehicles and drivers are equipped to ADR specifications. All health and safety documentation are carried e.g. risk assessments, method statements and test certificates. PPE is carried and always worn.

We offer an abnormal load service which will be specifically tailored to your requirements. We work with the necessary authorities and yourself to make sure the right vehicle and transport route are allocated to your job.

We cover transport only general haulage work for any jobs that don’t require our lifting equipment.

All Hiab’s are booked under ‘Hired Lifts’

We offer a ‘Contract Lift’ service which requires our appointed person to arrange a site visit in order to issue a lift plan for a specific job.

Cancellation charges apply for any work cancelled within 24hr’s of job booked.
Prices are charged on an hourly rate, minimum hire 4 hours, or a price per job basis. All price jobs have one hour to load/unload. Working/standing time on site after one hour will be charged at the vehicles hourly rate as extra.
We need good access at all destinations for the truck and the vehicle needs to be on good solid flat ground at all times. We will not drive on grass or soft or muddy ground.
Vehicle specific generic lift plans sent over and requested by the customer are for information
purposes only
